Overview

The 1,600-seat theatre opened in May 1926 with Let’s Get Married (1926) Link opens in new window starring Richard Dix. It was designed by architect John Eberson in an Atmospheric style with a Mediterranean courtyard theme. Interior decoration was by William A. Hartman of the Michael Angelo studios of Chicago.

At its opening the theatre was home to a Robert Morton 4-manual, 17-rank pipe organ. According to Ron Willfong Link opens in new window the organ was sold to Mark Kenning, of Dallas TX, in 1961.

The theatre was demolished in 1963 and became a parking lot.
