BET Awards

The BET Awards were established in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate African Americans and other American minorities in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment.

The inaugural awards were held at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. Since 2013 the awards have been held at the Nokia Theatre (later the Microsoft Theater, as of Summer 2023 the Peacock Theater) in Downtown Los Angeles.
