The People’s Choice Awards is an American awards show which recognizes people in entertainment and is voted online by the general public and fans. The show has been held annually since 1975.
Records of the 1970s and 1980s award ceremonies are patchy, with only the Hollywood Palladium confirmed as hosting in 1980. From 1990 to 1996 the awards were held at Universal Studios (Burbank, California). During 2010 to 2017 the awards took place at the Nokia Theatre (later called the Microsoft Theater, and from Summer 2023 the Peacock Theater) in Downtown Los Angeles. Since 2018 the awards have taken place at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. In 2023 the awards moved to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee.
